Hi, we're Doots!
We have a passion for pet care and love creating awesome pet products that your pet will love and so will your community.
My name is Doot (Yes me the ferret on your left) and my mom Nicole loves animals of all shapes and sizes. She has worked at pet stores, doggy daycares and animal shelters before landing her perfect job as a pet sitter and dog walker. She loves to craft and has used her skills to create all kinds of fun toys for us and her clients.
While she no longer works at the animal shelters she can't help but want to help find forever homes for pets like me. So she donates 50% of the profits from her handmade dog collars, leashes and keychains to local rescues and shelters. To date Doot's has donated over $3,500 to help pets in need in our community.
Interested in becoming a rescue partner, or selling our products? We would love to hear from you!
*Doot has been the mascot and furry toy stealing bandit behind the Doot's brand for years now and when he passed last year I couldn't think of a better way to honor his memory than to keep the cute bio I wrote for him years ago. Our home is no less hectic than it was with our carpet sharks (ferrets) dooking about as our three crazy kittens keep us on our toes constantly pushing the "treat" button and demanding pets while I'm trying to get things done.
We use Time to Pet as our client and furry friend management system. You can book services, pay invoices, and check your schedule all within the time to pet app or online!
The Time to Pet parent app can be downloaded from the Apple App store or the Google Play store.
Hi, I'm Nicole the owner and creator for Doot's!
I have always known that I wanted to have a career working with animals and have spent the last 10 years working in just about every animal related job I could find. At my first pet related job I worked as a customer advisor and certified dog trainer for a big box pet store.
When I moved to the Fox Valley area from Green Bay I found my passion working for rescues and area animal shelters. Through the shelters I gained experience with basic pet first aid as well as nail trims, giving insulin, administering vaccines, microchipping, and more.
In 2017 I got a job as at a dog daycare and over the two years I work there I gained extensive knowledge about dog body language, proper play and interactions, as well as completed numerous courses to continue my animal behavior education. In 2018 I received my CPACP Certified Professional Animal Care Provider certification with the National Animal Care Certification Council. I loved working with the dogs but didn't feel the position was quite right for me.
In 2019 I started pet sitting and working with client pets one-on-one and it became the best career choice. I love giving each pet individual attention and making sure they get what they need out of my visits. Whether it's a quick potty break and lots of snuggles, taking a nice long sniffari walk, or taking care of a cat who hates company, I pride myself on catering to each pet's needs.
I have always been a crafty person and in 2020 when clients were staying home I decided to put my crafting skills to work and started making handmade dog collars and pet toys. I knew I wanted to help local rescues out with the biggest things they needed, monetary donations.
I proudly donate 50% of the retail price profit from the sales of my dog collars and keychains to different rescue groups in our community. Since we started we have donated over $3,000 to help local homeless pets. Clients can receive discounts on our Doot's products too!
I am so excited to be on this journey and I look forward to meeting your pets soon!
Nicole
